DAY 1
Paro Airport to Thimphu
(50 kms / 1 hr 15 mins)
Meet your driver and guide upon arrival at Paro Airport.
Transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
Check in at your hotel and take some time to relax.
Evening (Optional):
Explore Thimphu city independently: Craft Bazar and Kaza Throm (farmer’s market)
Visit Buddha Dordenma and Tashicho Dzong if the flight arrives in the first half of the day
DAY 2
Thimphu ā City Tour
After breakfast, we proceed for the Thimphu city tour.
While an extensive list of attractions is outlined below, it is not possible to cover all of them in one day, as sightseeing is scheduled from 9:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
We recommend discussing your preferences with the guide to plan the dayās sightseeing in line with your interests.

Thimphu to Punakha - Transfer & Sightseeing
(75 kms / 2 hrs 30 mins)
After breakfast, we set out on a scenic drive to Punakha / Wangdue.
En route stop at Dochula Pass (3,150 m), a historic mountain pass marked by 108 memorial chortens, offering sweeping Himalayan views on clear days.
In Punakha, visit:
Punakha Dzong ā Built in 1637, the former seat of Bhutanās government and a symbol of national unity.
Chhimi Lhakhang ā A revered 15th-century temple associated with Lama Drukpa Kuenley and fertility blessings.
Suspension Bridge ā One of Bhutanās longest traditional bridges with scenic valley views.
Evening is free for leisure.
Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.
Optional: Riverside picnic lunch at INR 850 per person (subject to change).
DAY 4
Punakha ā Excursion to Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley
(75 kms / 2 hrs 15 mins)
After breakfast, depart for a full-day excursion to Phobjikha Valley (9,842 ft.), winter home of Black-necked Cranes (OctāNov).
Visit Gangtey Goemba ā 17th-century Nyingmapa monastery overlooking the valley.
Continue to Black-necked Crane Centre ā Conservation and study of migratory birds.
Recommended: Gentle downhill walk along Gangtey Nature Trail for a more immersive experience. Vehicle meets you at the trail end.
Lunch at a local restaurant in the valley.
Return to Punakha by evening. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Punakha ā Paro

After breakfast, drive to Paro.
In Paro, visit:

Ta Dzong ā National Museum ā Former watchtower showcasing Bhutanese heritage
Museum of Lights ā Journey from pre-electric life to modern electrification
Rest of the day free for independent exploration.
DAY 6
Paro ā Hike to Taktsang Monastery
After breakfast, proceed for the hike to Taktsang Monastery through pine forests and prayer-flag-lined trails.
Departure from hotel around 08:00 hrs (timing reconfirmed with guide).
Taktsang Monastery (Tigerās Nest) ā Perched at 3,120 m, sacred meditation site of Guru Rinpoche.
Hike is gradual and rewarding with panoramic views of Paro Valley.
On return, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutanās oldest temples.
Optional: Hot Stone Bath and lunch at a farmhouse.
DAY 7
Excursion to Chele La Pass
Drive to Chele-La Pass (13,088 ft.), the highest motorable pass in Bhutan (~2 hrs uphill).
Stop for photography, birdwatching, and to enjoy prayer-flag-marked views of Mount Jhomolhari and Jichu Drake.
Optional hike down to Kila Goemba, home to Buddhist nuns with meditation huts.
Return to Paro and spend the evening shopping for souvenirs.

Booking & Policies
Booking Guidelines
Confirmation of the booking implies that the guest has carefully reviewed and agreed to the Terms & Conditions.
Booking is subject to availability at the time of confirmation; rooms are not on hold.
Hotels mostly have Twin Bedded Rooms in Bhutan.
Most hotels do not have lifts; please inform us at the time of enquiry if booking for senior citizens.
All quotations made on the base category room basis unless specified.
Cost will change with travel dates or number of PAX.
Quotation valid for 48 hrs and for INDIAN CITIZENS ONLY.
Payment Policy
100% advance to be deposited as per timeline / booking cut-out date, before arrival.
We reserve the right to cancel or stop service in case of non-payment within the given time.
Any amendment and cancellation are subject to hotel policy.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
The SDF (Sustainable Development Fee) amount is non-refundable, once the ePermit has been issued.
In case of cancellation of a confirmed booking, a mandatory administrative fee of INR 2,500 per person or 5% of the total booking value (plus 18% GST), whichever is lower, will be charged.
The remaining amount will be refunded as per the cancellation policies of the individual hotels, activities, and ground arrangements.
Requirements for Entry into Bhutan
Adults: Passport (with minimum 6 months validity) or Voters’ Card
Children: Passport (with minimum 6 months validity) or Birth Certificate in English

Important: Travelers with older laminated voter cards must manually apply for a permit upon arrival, as e-permits are not issued for these cards
Guests must carry the same physical copies of the documents they submitted for permits. Mismatch may result in a fine or cancellation of the travel permit

TCS (Tax Collected at Source)
- As per the Union Budget 2026, Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on international tour packages has been rationalized to 2%.
- A 2% TCS will be applicable on the total cost of the international travel package and will be collected at the time of booking or payment, as mandated by the Government of India and applicable against each PAN.
- TCS is not an additional tax or cost. The amount collected can be adjusted against the travelerās income tax liabilityor claimed as a refund while filing the income tax return.
- TCS rates and regulations are subject to change as per government notifications, and the company shall not be held responsible for any future amendments or interpretations by tax authorities.
Dos & Don'ts
Photography (Please check with your guide):
Request permission before taking photographs of people, events, or objects.
Inside temples, Dzong, or monasteries, photography is not permitted.
Taking photographs is only permitted in the courtyard area.
Religious Artifact / Antique:
Do not touch any religious artefacts or antiques.
Purchase of religious items, especially antiques, is prohibited.
Do not climb on or do anything that would show disrespect to Buddhist artefacts or antiques, whether large or small, ruined or notāthey are regarded as sacred.
Dress Code:
Remove hats while entering Dzong, temples, or monasteries.
Shorts, half pants, or slippers are not permitted inside Dzong, temples, or monasteries.
Full-sleeve T-shirts or T-shirts with collars must be worn to enter certain Dzongs and monasteries.
For travel between November ā March, carry warm clothes.
Communication:
Switch off mobile phones or keep them on silent/vibrating mode inside religious premises.
Speak softly within the religious premises.
Mobile Connectivity:
Tashi Cell and BMobile are the two service providers in Bhutan.
Guests can buy Tourist Time on arrival at Phuentsoling or Paro Airport (cost between Rs. 200ā250).
International roaming can also be activated on your number.
The Bhutanese Way:
Bhutanese are a proud and friendly community. Be polite to drivers, guides, and hotel staff.
Always walk clockwise while visiting religious places.
Indicate sacred objects or places using an upturned flat extended hand, not a single finger.
Throw rubbish only in designated areas.
Refrain from touching ritual objects or mural paintings.
Do not walk over clothes, books, hearths, or materials left open in religious sites.
Avoid smoking or drinking while visiting religious places.
If unsure, ask the local people or your guide.
Maintain safe distance from lakes or rivers to avoid accidents.
Smoking / Tobacco Products:
Tobacco products and cigarettes are forbidden in the kingdom.
For personal consumption, passengers may bring 200 imported cigarettes (10 packets) on payment of 200% duty, and 100% duty on Indian-made tobacco products.
Alcoholic beverages up to 1 litre for personal consumption are allowed.
Currency Notes:
Guests are allowed to carry a $10,000 equivalent amount.
Indian citizens can carry denominations up to Rs. 500 in Bhutan.
ATMs are available only in Thimpu & Paro and may charge up to Rs. 400 per transaction.
